Ruth's Cabin is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath contemporary home at 112 San Francisco Street, Oakland, MD 21550 that sleeps 11, managed by Railey Vacations in the Roman Nose Spa community near the center of Deep Creek Lake. Everything is on one level and up to two dogs are welcome, so it works well for families bringing the dog, older relatives, or anyone who'd rather skip the stairs.
Inside the House
The home sits off Lake Shore Drive and Route 219 and has an open kitchen, living room and dining area with a warm, modern palette. The layout includes:
- Two king suites, each with an attached bath with shower; one also has a sofa bed or futon for an extra sleeper
- A queen bedroom and a fourth bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk
- A third full bath, a laundry room and an office space for anyone working remotely
For downtime there's a game area with a foosball table and arcade games, two electric fireplaces, smart TVs, Wi-Fi and central air. The kitchen has two ovens, which helps when you're cooking for a full house.
Outdoor Spaces
Outside you'll find an outdoor hot tub, a wood fire pit (bring your own firewood), a gas grill, an outdoor dining table and a swing. There's parking for up to four vehicles and an EV charging station, though you'll need to bring your own charging cord.
Good to Know
- This is a lake-area home rather than a lakefront one, and dock use isn't included.
- Railey rents to family groups only; dogs with aggressive or reactive histories and certain breeds are not allowed.
- Smoking and vaping are not allowed.
- Railey recommends 4WD/AWD or snow tires from November through March.
