About
Sang Hill Farms is a working flower farm and wedding and event venue at 6428 Sang Run Road in McHenry, in the countryside north of Deep Creek Lake. Its 180 acres of farmland and wildflower fields serve as the backdrop for weddings, engagement photos and other celebrations. It suits couples looking for an outdoor farm setting rather than a hotel ballroom.
A Working Flower Farm
The farm grows seasonal blooms and supplies fresh-cut flowers to the local community, with an emphasis on regenerative growing practices. Plantings such as sunflowers and zinnias are staggered so that there are several rounds of blooms through late summer and into fall, which is why the fields are popular with photographers as well as couples.
Hosting Your Event
Sang Hill Farms is set up as an outdoor farm venue, with a maximum event capacity listed at 199 guests. Because the property is a working farm with events often underway, the farm asks that you schedule a tour before visiting rather than stopping by unannounced. A tour lets you see the fields, talk through the layout and learn what hosting there involves.
Before You Go
Book your tour through the farm's website or by phone, and plan your visit around the growing season if you want to see the fields in bloom.
