Serenity Summit is a 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath home on top of Wisp Mountain in the North Camp community at 233 High Road Crest, McHenry, that sleeps 14, managed by Railey Vacations. Every bedroom is a suite with its own bath, which makes it a comfortable fit for several families or couples sharing a ski weekend or summer lake trip.
Inside the House
- Main level: kitchen, dining room, living room with a wood-burning fireplace, powder room and a king suite
- Upper level: a loft with a queen sleeper sofa and two king suites
- Lower level: a den with a wet bar, foosball and arcade games, two more king suites and laundry
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, wine fridge, drip and single-cup coffee makers, and there's central air, Wi-Fi and smart TVs throughout.
Outdoor Spaces and Mountain Setting
The home sits in a wooded spot with mountain views and, in season, views of the ski slopes. Outside there's a hot tub, a wood fire pit, a gas grill, a ping-pong table, cornhole and a horseshoe pit. Railey lists the North Camp slopes about 0.6 miles away, with ski access depending on which slopes are open. Community lake access along Marsh Hill Road is for fishing only — no swimming, kayaking, dock use or boat trailer parking.
Good to Know
- Guests get free membership at the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC), with its indoor pool and gym, for the length of the stay.
- Firewood is provided from mid-September to mid-April.
- Four-wheel or all-wheel drive or snow tires are recommended November through March.
- Pets aren't permitted; parking is for up to five vehicles.
