Shiver Me Timbers

Shiver Me Timbers is a four-bedroom, cabin-style vacation home on 80 Whitetail Ct in the Yellowstone community, on the southeast side of Deep Creek Lake near Oakland. Railey Vacations manages the home, which sleeps up to 12 and suits families or groups of friends who want a wooded retreat close to the lake and the state park.

Inside the Cabin

Railey describes the home as larger than it looks. Rustic wood finishes and an open layout surround a lofty great room. There are four bedrooms and four full bathrooms, one of them with a bunk bed. A bonus room with its own fireplace, TV and an indoor hot tub works well as a second gathering space. Other features include:

• Two wood-burning fireplaces, with firewood provided from mid-September to mid-April
• Central air conditioning and Wi-Fi
• Seven flat-screen TVs, a game table and foosball
• A gas grill, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and drip and single-cup coffee makers

Before You Book

Pets are not permitted, and the home has room for up to four vehicles. The home has no dock access and no water equipment, so plan to rent boats or kayaks elsewhere around the lake. Railey lists Deep Creek Lake State Park as under two miles away, with restaurants and shops within a few miles.
