Shop 'n Save Express

Shop 'n Save Express is a full grocery store at 304 Weber Road in Mountain Lake Park (Oakland mailing address), just off Maryland Highway (Route 135). It opened at this location in April 2025, replacing the town's original Shop 'n Save across Maryland Highway, and serves Oakland and Mountain Lake Park residents as well as visitors heading to or from Deep Creek Lake.

A Bigger Store Across the Road

The new building gave the store about 6,000 more square feet than the original, with expanded space for fresh produce, meats, seafood and deli foods and new refrigeration. A ribbon cutting with the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce and county and town officials marked the opening, and the company's CEO, Craig Phillips, described the project as about five years in the making.

Deli, Seafood and Everyday Groceries

Alongside the everyday grocery aisles, the store has a large full-service deli serving Chesterfried chicken and rotisserie chicken, plus a fresh seafood department and specialty items. That makes it handy for a ready-made dinner on the way back from the lake as well as a full weekly shop. The chain's Pump Perks fuel rewards and digital coupons are available through the Shop 'n Save website and app.

Shop 'n Save also has a second area store, Deep Creek Shop 'n Save, on Garrett Highway in McHenry near the lake.
