Solid Rock Baptist Church

Solid Rock Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation that meets on North 8th Street in Oakland, a few blocks from the town's main streets. It welcomes people who have followed Christ for years and people who are still exploring faith.

What to Expect

The church describes its gatherings as places where questions are welcome. During Bible study and the main Sunday worship service, people are invited to ask questions and add comments. The church says this keeps the preaching tied to everyday life and helps the congregation grow together, so you won't be expected to sit quietly through a lecture if you have something on your mind.

Staying in Touch

The church keeps its news, special services and announcements on its Facebook page, so check there before you visit.

If you're looking for a small Bible-centred church in Oakland where you can talk things through, it's worth a visit on a Sunday.
