Sprinkles & Sourdough

Sprinkles & Sourdough is a locally owned sourdough bakery and shop at 204 E Alder St in downtown Oakland. Owners Jen and Rob Thomas bake sourdough breads, treats and sweets in their own commercial kitchen and sell them alongside kitchen goods and local pantry items, so it works for a fresh loaf, a gift or a stop on your way through town.

From Farmers Market Table to Main Street

Jen Thomas started baking sourdough at home and soon had more bread than family and friends could eat. She applied to sell at the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market, and her table sold out consistently, which led to the move into a storefront. The Garrett County Republican told her story in July 2026, and the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon-cutting for the East Alder Street shop in August 2026. She has said she plans to keep selling at the farmers market too.
