Stuck Energy is the new name of Oakland Oil & Propane, the Garrett County fuel dealer based at 350 W Liberty St, Oakland, MD 21550. It delivers propane, heating oil and commercial fuel to homes, farms and businesses in Oakland and the surrounding communities, including the Deep Creek Lake area.

A Familiar Local Company With a New Name

The Stuck family bought Oakland Oil in 1989, added a propane plant in 2012 and renamed the business Oakland Oil & Propane. Three generations of the family have run it. On September 29 it began operating as Stuck Energy, bringing it under one name with the family's other fuel companies in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Ohio, a business that traces back to 1955. The company says the office, the phone number, the drivers and the trucks out of the Oakland bulk plant stay the same, and accounts, budget plans and delivery history carry over with nothing for customers to do.
