Success Floor Covering

Success Floor Covering is a flooring store at 108 E Liberty St in downtown Oakland, across the street from the restored B&O train station. It sells and installs floor coverings for residential and commercial customers in Maryland and West Virginia, and has a second store in Westover, WV.

Three Decades in Oakland

Success Floor Covering says it has operated in Oakland for 30 years. The business was started by Robert Gnegy and later purchased by Randy Summers, Sr. in 2006. Its work covers all aspects of floor covering, and it specializes in custom-built showers.

Products and Services

The Oakland showroom has a large selection of samples, and the store's catalog includes:

• Hardwood, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl and vinyl tile
• Carpet and carpet tile
• Ceramic and other tile, including wall tile, brick and stone
• Natural and engineered stone countertops
• Window treatments and artificial grass

Carpet brands on the site include Shaw Floors and Anderson Tuftex. An online room visualizer lets you preview a product in a photo of your own room before you decide.

Free In-Home Estimates

The store offers free in-home estimates that usually take around 30 minutes. Staff bring actual product samples to your home, which helps you judge colors in your own lighting, and help you work out quantities and supplies.
