About
Suites at Silver Tree is a lakefront condo-hotel on Deep Creek Lake at 565 Glendale Rd in Oakland, with studio and one-bedroom suites, some with lofts, in a choice of lake or standard views. It suits couples, families and small groups who want hotel services along with a kitchenette and a fireplace in the room.
Suites and What's Inside
The two-building complex was built between 2004 and 2006 on 2.8 acres beside the former Silver Tree Inn restaurant, and it opened for rentals over Memorial Day weekend 2006. Each suite is privately owned but rented under one uniform hotel standard, so the décor and amenities match from unit to unit. Studios and one-bedroom suites sleep up to four; the studio-with-loft and one-bedroom-with-loft suites sleep up to six.
Every suite has:
- a gas fireplace
- a kitchenette
- a full bathroom
- a king or queen bed plus a sleeper sofa
Bed sizes, square footage and small appliances vary a little, so ask about a specific suite if those details matter to you. Some upper-floor suites are reached by stairs only, and pets are not permitted.
On the Property
The lobby has three floor-to-ceiling fireplaces built of native stone. Guests can use a fitness room, a sauna and an arcade, and the lakefront has a swimming area, a lawn and decks. Dutch's at Silver Tree and its Harbor Bar share the property and its lakefront docks, and there's an on-site marina with boat rentals run by Silver Tree Marine — both have their own listings in this directory. Conference facilities and daily housekeeping are offered too, and you can add extras such as a flower arrangement or an in-room massage to your stay.
Managed by Railey Vacations
Railey Vacations, the McHenry vacation-rental company, has managed the hotel since it opened, and it also manages the Will O' The Wisp condominiums on the lake.
