Sylvan Learning of Garrett County

Sylvan Learning of Garrett County is a locally owned tutoring center for K–12 students, part of the national Sylvan Learning network. You'll find it in Suite 3 at 23789 Garrett Highway in McHenry, along the main road through the Deep Creek Lake area, and it also serves families from the surrounding counties.

Tutoring and Test Prep

The center works with students one subject at a time, so you can focus on exactly where your child needs help:

• Tutoring in math, reading, writing and science
• SAT, ACT and state test prep
• STEM courses, study-skills programs and academic camps

That mix makes it useful both for a student who has fallen behind in a single class and for a high-schooler getting ready for college admissions tests.

Before You Go

Programs and terms are set by the local center, so the easiest first step is a phone call to the McHenry office. Ask the staff about schedules, which programs are running this season, and how the center's results guarantee works for your plan.

If homework battles or a big test are on the horizon, a call to the Garrett County center is a good place to start.
