About
The Herrington is a 10-bedroom estate with 10 full and 4 half baths on more than 20 acres in the Herrington Manor area of Oakland, sleeping 34 and managed by Railey Vacations. It's set up for big family reunions and business retreats, with meeting rooms and a ballroom alongside the pool and game spaces. You'll find it at 1061 Herrington Manor Road, Oakland, MD 21550.
Inside the House
All ten bedrooms have king or queen beds, spread over three levels:
- Main level: one king suite
- Upper level: five king suites and a king bedroom, several with balconies or twin sleeper chairs
- Lower level: four suites (three king, one queen)
Sleeper sofas in the game room, sitting room and lower-level living area add space for larger groups. For downtime there's a private home theater, a game room with pool, ping pong and foosball tables, an indoor hot tub, two gas fireplaces and a private indoor pool. Working groups get a business center with a conference room, two desktop computers and a home office, plus an upstairs ballroom with 15-foot ceilings, projectors and a wet bar. A large kitchen setup (four dishwashers, three full-size fridges, three ovens) helps when you're feeding a crowd.
Outdoor Spaces
Outside are two hot tubs, two gas grills, a wood fire pit, a seasonal basketball court and a private catch-and-release pond (bring your own rods and bait). There's parking for up to 15 vehicles. The home has no dock use; Railey lists Herrington Manor State Park about 1.5 miles away and Swallow Falls State Park about 4.1 miles away.
