The Rowdy Rooster Bar & Grille

The Rowdy Rooster Bar & Grille is a bar and grill at 17869 Garrett Highway, Suite A in Oakland, on Garrett Highway (US 219). It opened in 2025 under new local ownership and serves lunch and dinner, so it works for a casual meal, a drink at the bar or catching a game with friends.

Burgers, Subs and Crab Soup

Burgers lead the menu, from a classic cheeseburger and a mushroom Swiss to the Big Country Burger, The Barn Yard and a Pizza Burger. Chili, cream of crab and Maryland crab soup round out the bowls, and there are wings, a steak quesadilla and subs such as steak-n-cheese, meatball and Italian cold cut, with fries or tater tots on the side.

Before You Go

There's seating indoors and out, a full bar licensed for beer, wine and liquor with draft beer, and takeout if you'd rather eat back at the cabin. The Rowdy Rooster also runs a happy hour plus a local food and beverage industry night and a locals night with food and drink specials.
