About
The Tiny Corner Bike Shop is a small, full-service bike shop at 103 Town Park Ln in Oakland, established in 2020. It handles repairs, sales and rentals, with a focus on mountain biking, touring, bikepacking and commuting. In its own words, it's a small-town bike shop for a small town, and it works on the idea that everyone belongs on a bike.
Repairs, Bikes and Gear
The shop does full-service repairs, and you can schedule work by phone or email. It sells new bikes, apparel and other gear, keeps its current bike inventory online, rents bikes, and buys used bikes, which is useful if you're upgrading and want to pass your old ride along.
Brands it carries include:
- Jamis bikes, including gravel, mountain, road, cruiser and e-bike models
- Revelate Designs bikepacking bags and gear (the shop is an authorized dealer)
- Sock Guy cycling socks
Rides, Races and Community
The Tiny Corner Bike Shop organizes the Snallygaster 200, a bikepacking race on a roughly 200-mile loop through the Allegheny Highlands of western Maryland and northeastern West Virginia, mostly on gravel and dirt roads. The race starts and finishes at the shop. The website also shares local rides and resources and an All Garrett Trails Challenge, and the shop supports local mountain bike race series and music festivals.
Out front you'll find a Little Free Library, plus a freebie box where people donate bike parts and clothing for newcomers to the sport.
Stop by before a ride on the Garrett County trails, or call ahead to book a repair.
