The White Barn + The Venues at Lucas Farm

The White Barn + The Venues at Lucas Farm is a wedding and event barn on a working-farm property at 4161 Garrett Highway outside Oakland, in the Deep Creek Lake area. Built in 2016, it pairs a rustic barn look with polished details, and it suits couples who want the ceremony, reception and overnight stays all on one property.

The Barn and Grounds

The main hall offers about 5,000 square feet of indoor space with room for up to 225 guests seated or standing. Inside you'll find an indoor bar, a chandelier, a dance floor, a kitchenette space, a piano, three indoor restrooms, and separate bridal and groom suites. Outside, more than 30,000 square feet of paver patios and walkways lead to a covered patio, a fire pit, lounge areas and pond and farm views, with two outdoor restrooms so guests don't have to keep walking back inside. The grounds work for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, cocktail hours and elopements.

What the Team Handles

The White Barn package covers use of the venue, tables and chairs, table décor, wedding coordination, and a full staff for setup and cleanup, plus parking attendants and golf-cart rides around the property. The venue lists catering among its services (buffet dinners, à la carte items, dessert and coffee stations, a champagne toast), along with florals and wedding cake services. It also rents vintage décor pieces such as mason jars, silver trays and cups, milk cans, candlesticks and vintage furniture. If you plan to serve alcohol, it must be ordered through a preferred vendor. The facilities are wheelchair accessible, with ramps at the main and side entrances.

Stay on the Farm

Three lodgings on the property can be booked through Airbnb: The Farmhouse at Lucas Farm beside the barn (four bedrooms, sleeps 12), the newly renovated Farmhouse at The Venues across the road (four bedrooms, sleeps 20), and the Blushing Bridal Suite, a studio-style bungalow used as a bridal suite during wedding season. Booking these keeps the wedding party and family together on the farm.
