ThompsonGas

ThompsonGas has a propane location at 17863 Garrett Hwy, Oakland, MD 21550, serving homes and businesses around Oakland and Deep Creek Lake. It is a good contact if you are adding propane to a house or cabin, need a tank set, or want a gas appliance hooked up.

Installation and Service Work

The Oakland location lists these services:

• Above-ground tank installation
• Underground tank installation
• Running exterior gas lines
• Trenching
• Heater installations where interior lines are already in place
• Gas stove installations and conversions

That combination means one company can set the tank, run the line to the house and connect a stove or heater, instead of you coordinating several trades. This location does not have a retail store or products for sale on site.

How Propane Is Used Locally

ThompsonGas notes that Oakland residents use propane to heat homes, run water heaters and power stoves and ovens, and that restaurants, farms and construction companies in the area also rely on it. The company has been supplying propane since 1946 and also offers metered propane, tank monitoring, temporary heating for job sites, and 24/7 emergency service.

If you are building, renovating or switching fuels, call the Oakland office to talk through tank placement and installation.
