Timber Rock Village is a family-owned village of lake-access vacation homes on fourteen acres along Deep Creek Lake at 45 Log Cabin Road, Oakland, MD 21550. Guests stay in their own house but share resort-style amenities, which makes it a good fit for families, couples and larger groups who want a pool, courts and boat slips without leaving the property.
The Homes and Shared Amenities
The village has eleven completed homes, with five more and walking trails planned in a second phase that the owners expect to finish by the end of 2027. Homes include features such as hot tubs, fire pits and pool tables, and featured houses range from three to four bedrooms. Shared amenities include:
- A heated outdoor saltwater pool with a waterslide, open mid-May to mid-October
- A fitness center with treadmills, a bike, a cable machine and free weights
- Basketball, pickleball and shuffleboard courts
- A covered pavilion with a fireplace and ping pong table, and a community fire pit
- On-site massage and spa services
- Lawn games such as bocce, cornhole and giant Jenga to borrow from the Lodge
Lake Access and Boat Slips
A path across the road from the village entrance leads down to the lake. There are 13 boat slips: three are reserved for specific homes and the rest are shared among participating homes on a first-requested basis, and docks are in the water seasonally from spring to mid-October.
Built by Longtime Lake Hosts
The village is a project of Jodi and Joe Refosco, who spent years in Deep Creek vacation rentals, including running a rental management company with Jodi's brother Chad that grew to serve more than 500 owners. Jodi has served as president of the Vacation Rental Management Association and Joe as president of the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals.
Good to Know
Linens, towels and kitchen basics are provided, check-in is keyless, dogs are allowed only in designated dog-friendly homes, and baby gear can be delivered through BabyQuip.
