Friendsville Community Park
The town runs Friendsville Community Park, with park and pavilion rentals available from April through October through a rental form on the town's website. The park has two permanent pickleball courts, plus a tennis court lined for pickleball with two portable nets. Water service at the park and the court nets are seasonal, put in each spring and taken down in the fall. The Friendsville Library lends pickleball paddles and balls.

The town office is staffed by an administrative assistant and clerk-treasurer. For emergencies the town's site points to the Maryland State Police, the Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.
