Trader's Coffee House

Trader's Coffee House has served coffee and fresh-baked goods at Deep Creek Lake since 2001. It sits at Trader's Landing, 21311 Garrett Hwy in Oakland, along Route 219 about 10 miles north of Oakland town, and it's a dependable stop for an espresso drink, a breakfast wrap or a box of pastries for the house.

Coffee, Tea and Seasonal Drinks

Trader's brews coffee from Oregon Coffee Roasters, its chosen roaster, and pairs it with Torani and Hollander syrups and sauces, including Hollander chocolate in the mocha. Alongside the classics, the menu rotates through seasonal lattes such as Sweater Weather, made with salted caramel and local maple syrup, and Autumn Glory with white chocolate, maple and brown sugar cinnamon. There's also nitro cold brew, a frappé of the month, teas and smoothies.

Breakfast, Lunch and the Bake Case

Pastries are baked fresh in-house every day. The Morning Favorites menu includes:

• Breakfast sandwiches with a local egg and Kunzler bacon or all-natural sausage
• Quiche made with local eggs
• Bagel and lox, avocado toast and smoothie bowls with homemade granola
• Protein, Reese and veggie wraps

Later in the day, All Day Faves cover paninis, chicken and hummus or spinach and feta wraps, and house-made chicken salad. Vegan guests have real choices too, including a gluten-free vegan waffle, vegan cashew cream cheese and plant-based sausage and cheese. Large or special bakery orders can be arranged with 24 hours' notice.

Catering and Sister Restaurants

Trader's caters with coffee "Joe Box" carriers, bagels, pastries, quiche, breakfast sandwich boxes and boxed paninis, with delivery and setup available. It shares owners with Ace's Run, Brenda's Pizzeria and Firewater Kitchen at the lake.
