Underwood Kennels

Underwood Kennels is a small, state-licensed breeder near Oakland raising Golden Retriever and Goldendoodle puppies on a family farm. Owner Malinda Bender runs the kennel with her son Jason, and it is for families who want a Golden or a Goldendoodle raised around children, other pets and the countryside.

A Small Kennel Focused on Two Breeds

Malinda began working with dogs in 2020 at another kennel, where she and Jason fell for Golden Retrievers, and she started Underwood Kennels in 2022. The kennel keeps its focus on just two breeds: the Golden Retriever and the Goldendoodle, a Golden and Poodle cross. Puppies are socialized from birth, get one-on-one time every day and spend time outdoors on the farm, which helps them adjust to family life.

Each puppy comes with its age-appropriate vaccinations, a full vet check, a health record with vet notes and vaccine labels, and a One Year Genetic Health Guarantee; the terms are posted on the website.
