Willow Point is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront stone cottage in the Boy Scout and Penn Point area on the southeast side of Deep Creek Lake that sleeps 6, managed by Railey Vacations. It sits at 344 Lower Penn Point Rd, Oakland, MD 21550, and its size, private dock and dog-friendly policy make it a good fit for a couple, a small family or friends bringing their dog.
Inside the Cottage
Knotty pine walls, hardwood floors and braided rugs set a classic lake-cabin feel. The main level has the kitchen, dining and living areas, a full bath, a mud room and laundry, with a wood fireplace and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Upstairs you'll find a king bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds, a full bath and a kids' play area. For evenings in there's a bumper pool table and a poker table, and Railey supplies firewood from mid-September to mid-April.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
The property has its own private dock with room for two motorized boats, plus a sprawling lawn shaded by willow trees, an outdoor hot tub and a charcoal grill. Views take in filtered lake, mountain and wooded scenery. Railey notes that docks are guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and that water toys such as kayaks are not provided.
Good to Know
Up to two dogs are welcome under Railey's pet policy, which excludes aggressive or reactive dogs and certain restricted breeds. Air conditioning is by window units in the living room and upstairs, parking is for two vehicles, and Railey recommends four-wheel or all-wheel drive or snow tires from November through March.
