Wine and Roses is an 8-bedroom, 7.5-bath farmhouse-style estate in the Waterfront Greens community near Swanton that sleeps 24, managed by Railey Vacations. You'll find it at 108 Lakefront Links Drive, Swanton, MD 21561, and with four suites, an apartment over the garage and two full kitchens' worth of appliances, it's set up for large family gatherings and reunions.
Inside the House
The home was renovated in early 2021 and spreads guests across four areas, so a big group doesn't have to share one floor:
- Main level: a king suite with deck access and a bath with a free-standing tub
- Upper level: a loft with a pool table and two king suites, each with a twin daybed and trundle
- Lower level: four more bedrooms (three kings, one queen), a living area with a wet bar, a laundry room and an indoor sauna
- Above the garage: a den with a wet bar and sleeper sofa, a king bedroom and a full bath
Two wood-burning fireplaces (firewood is supplied in the cooler months), a foosball table, a jetted tub, a home office, a ski boot and glove dryer, a seasonal screened porch and central air round things out.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
Outside there's an outdoor hot tub reached from the lower-level den, a wood fire pit, charcoal and gas grills and parking for eight vehicles. A walking path leads down to the lakefront, and the home has a dock slip for one motorized and one non-motorized boat (Railey guarantees dock slips from Memorial Day through Labor Day). Waterfront Greens adds mini golf, a par 3 course, tennis and pickleball, a basketball court, a canoe and kayak station, a catch-and-release pond and a covered pavilion.
Good to Know
Guests get free use of the CARC indoor pool and fitness center, Railey notes that Wisp Resort is within a 15-minute drive, and Deep Creek Lake State Park is about 1.7 miles away. Pets aren't permitted, linens and towels are provided, and Railey recommends 4WD/AWD or snow tires from November through March.
