WISPering Timbers is a 5-bedroom, 4-bath duplex home in McHenry's Ridge Run community that sleeps 12, managed by Railey Vacations. It sits at 22 Ridge Run Road, McHenry, MD 21541, directly in front of the North Camp slopes and Chair #7 at Wisp Resort, so it's a natural base for ski and snowboard trips.
Inside the House
Reclaimed chestnut floors and woodwork and Amish-made furniture give the home its timber-lodge character. The upper level is all suites, which is handy for groups of couples:
- Upper level: a king suite with a private balcony and a bath with a separate tub and shower, a queen suite and a second king suite, each with an attached bath
- Main level: a king bedroom with access to a full bath, and a bunk room (twin over twin plus a twin) with a shared full bath
A gas fireplace, central air, five smart TVs and a full kitchen with dishwasher and laundry cover the everyday needs. If you need more room, the adjoining half of the duplex, Between the Timbers, can be rented too.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
There's an outdoor hot tub and a gas grill, a one-car garage and parking for up to four vehicles. Ski-in/ski-out access depends on slope conditions and varies through the season. Lake access is fishing-only, via Marsh Hill Road (no swimming, kayaking or launching), and the home has no dock.
Good to Know
Guests get free CARC indoor pool and fitness access, linens and towels are provided and pets aren't permitted. Railey recommends 4WD/AWD or snow tires from November through March.
