Woodlake Tree Farm

Woodlake Tree Farm is a Christmas tree and nursery farm at 2858 Broadford Rd outside Oakland, a short drive from Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort. It's the place to choose and cut your own tree, pick up fresh holiday greenery, or, outside the holidays, find trees for screening and landscaping.

Christmas Trees and Greenery

During the holiday season you can walk the fields and choose and cut your own tree, or pick from pre-cut trees in a range of sizes. Varieties listed for the farm include Fraser, Canaan and Concolor firs, Norway and Colorado Blue spruces, White Pine and Douglas Fir. The farm also sells balled-and-burlapped live trees you can plant after the holidays, and directory listings note that trees can be shaken, baled and drilled for a stand, which makes the drive home and the setup much easier.

Fresh wreaths, kissing balls, rope and pine garland and other custom-made greenery are part of the season too, and the farm takes wholesale tree and greenery orders.

The Barn Store and Off-Season Landscaping

The barn store, with its Christmas Shop of home decor pieces, opens ahead of the tree season and runs through Christmas; if you're looking for something you don't see, the farm invites you to call. Outside the holidays, Woodlake sells balled-and-burlapped and dug trees to retail and wholesale customers and offers landscaping work such as privacy screening, boundary-line plantings and bulk mulch.

Bring the family, pick out your tree, and let the farm help you get it home in good shape.
